On completion of the course your cert will be posted to you and we can also tailor these courses to the needs of your club/group – just let us know what you need! We also offer a range of first aid courses from occupational first aid to the Rescue Emergency Care (REC) courses. These courses are perfect for those taking part in the outdoors, and are prerequisites for anyone wishing to be an instructor, but are also very useful and recommended for general club paddling. Our FETAC approved Occupational First Aid courses provide staff and individuals with the skills and confidence to respond to workplace or leisure incidents and accidents. Courses are designed to fulfil the requirements of the Health, Safety and Welfare Act using workplace scenarios and practical knowledge. Our First Aid for Children course is specifically designed for individuals who find themselves in crèches, schools, youth groups and the home environment with specific emphasis on common childhood accidents, ailments and injuries.
The Rescue Emergency Care courses (REC) are designed to provide first aid skills to people working or operating in rural and remote environments, and are arranged in different levels from 1 to 3. In these situations it can be a significant period of time before help arrives, REC will provide participants with the lifesaving skills, knowledge and confidence to deal with these events in a realistic environment.
