Easter Weekend in Wales !!!!

Tired of not getting reliable water ? Thinking about the summer in the Alps and want to sharpen up ? Then our trip to Canolfan Tryweryn in Wales is just the thing for you !!!

West Coast Kayaking’s trip to Wales acts as the perfect pre-alpine or first kayaking adventure. We will travel to the beautiful Snowdonia region of Wales and will be staying in the town of Bala, in a traditional farm bunkhouse.

This course will be based in Canolfan Tryweryn National Whitewater Centre on the Tryweryn River. The objective is to work on your paddling skills such as effective positioning, using river features to your advantage and honing skills such as forward paddling, boofing and flaring, as well as safety skills and river running tactics equipping you will the necessary skills to navigate a grade 3/4 river, both as a group and as an individual.

The center boasts indoor changing rooms, hot showers and a cafe overlooking one of the play spots with a wet floor so you don’t even have to get changed out of your gear to eat lunch !!! The river is natural – think Avonmore without Jacksons – but is dam released so the water is guaranteed.

The trip cost will include transportation, food, river tariff costs, accommodation and instruction costs. (There are limited places for transportation) Basically all you will have to do is get to the port with your kit and we will take it from there.

03 Apr 2015 – 06 Apr 2015 Cost : 350 euro all inclusive.
